How to gain clients as an Esthetician

The biggest challenge to overcome in the start of our career is finding clients and continuing to find new clients consistently while making your current ones happy!

As an esty one of the biggest if NOT, the biggest challenge to overcome in the start of our career is finding clients and continuing to find new clients consistently while making your current ones happy! While it's important to provide top-notch service and expertise, your business won't grow if you don't have a steady stream of new clients coming through your door. Here are some tips for gaining more clients as an esthetician, whether you're new to the industry or trying to broaden your clientele list.

1.Create a professional online presence
It's no secret we live in a time where having a professional online presence is crucial for any business, including estheticians. Make sure you have a professional website that showcases your services. Think of this as your online pamphlet where you can immediately inform new visitors of pricing, and contact information. You should also be active on social media platforms where you can find serious people interested in the services you offer but just don't know you exist... yet, like Instagram and Facebook to engage with potential clients and showcase your work.

2. Offer specials and discounts
Everyone loves a good deal, so consider offering specials and discounts to entice new clients to try your services. You could offer a discount on a first-time visit or a package deal for multiple services, you'll be extremely surprised at how many people are interested in paying for packages if it means they'll save $!

3. Encourage referrals and have a loyalty program!
Word of mouth is one of the most powerful marketing tools, so encourage your current clients to refer their friends and family to you. You could offer a discount or free service to clients who refer new business to you. You can also do loyalty programs which encourage your existing clients to be consistent by rewarding them on their "x" number of visits! I have implemented both into my business and my clients are obsessed with the loyalty cards!

4. Attend networking events
Networking events are a great way to meet new people and potentially gain new clients. Attend local business events or join professional organizations to expand your network and meet potential clients.

5. Partner with other businesses
Partnering with other businesses in your community can also be a great way to gain new clients. For example, you could partner with a beauty professional who compliments what you offer without offering the same thing, your clients and theirs could benefit from both beauty businesses.

6. Offer exceptional customer service
Providing exceptional customer service is key to retaining current clients and gaining new ones. Make sure to go above and beyond to make your clients feel valued and appreciated.

7. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques
As an esthetician, it's important to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques in skincare. Attend trade shows, workshops, and continuing education courses to stay current on the latest developments in the industry. This will not only help you provide better service to your clients, but it will also make you more attractive to potential clients.

By following these tips, you'll be well on your way to gaining more clients and growing your esthetics business. Remember, despite doing everything I just mentioned, growth takes consistency but also patience! Rome wasn't built in a day, don't psych yourself out if it takes a few months to get things smoothly going. Keep the vision, don't lose the discipline and show up everyday.
